Hello and welcome!
My name is Mya G and I was born and raised in Victoria! I am the fourth of five girls in my family and I have loved growing up in a considerably large family. I grew up dancing as well as playing soccer and field hockey. I have stayed involved in the field hockey community by coaching in the Victoria junior league as well as running their social media! My other experience working with kids is with the Canucks Autism Network. I have been working at CAN since April 2022 and it has been one of the most incredible and fulfilling experiences in my life. The connections I have made with the families and children are so special and irreplaceable. Working in an environment that is so inclusive, adaptive, and unique makes every challenge worth it.
Some fun things about me include: my favourite food being cereal (specifically Vector), I am a huge Taylor Swift fan, and also a big Canucks fan. During quarantine, I converted my basement into a Canucks fan cave. I have been lucky enough to attend 12 NHL games and I buy a puck at each game to remember the moment. I have been dog sledding in the Yukon, which I HIGHLY recommend.
I am very excited to be on my teacher journey. I am excited learn different tools and strategies that will help make me the best teacher I can be!
